22. Jetty

The Roger Raveel jetty is a mooring place for large passenger boats that was inaugurated in the summer of 2013. Raveel, who passed away in January of that same year, had chosen the colours for it. It became one of his last designs.

At the end of 2024, De Vlaamse Waterweg will start constructing an experience zone along the towpath near the jetty. Additional trees will be planted to provide shade, and benches and bicycle racks will be installed. In the course of 2025, a path will be constructed connecting the rest area with the village centre.
